Hey, Techies...
Can anyone tell me how to burn a DVD on my computer that will play in my home DVD player? I JUST purchased a new DVD player that will play +/- DVD r's, but I can't figure out what format I need to burn them in so they WILL play in it.

Also, what's a good burning software to use? I'm a little adrift on THIS one.

2. You would need to have the appropriate software on your computer
in order to do that. I don't currently have that on my computer (mine only plays DVDs) although I can burn CDs. However my Dell Musicmatch Jukebox has an upgrade I can purchase that will allow me to burn DVDs. Since I've not done so I have no idea how good it is. However the CD burner is quite good. Realplayer may have such software, and I've found them to be quite adequate for burning CDs as well.

3. Hmmm...
I use MMJB to burn music CD's and purchased the premium version, but never thought about using it to burn video. I'll have to check into that. Thanks, Buffy!

i don't have a dvd burner, so i can't tell you the exact version. but Nero makes a program that does what you need it to do. sorry i can't be more help than that. But check out a professional version of Nero and it can do just about anything you ask it to.
