And finally perfected making pizza.

Although, going to France would be a dream. I miss culture so much. But I am a nontraveler.

walk-in-the-woods type gal... and always feel like I've done some journeying upon returning home. :)

I've met somebody new, and the prospects are very good. The only thing that remains from my past life is my job, and my two cats. Everything else has changed, for the better! :D

And we brought tons of supplies.

It makes me feel better knowing that some of that stuff is now being used to aid Hurricane Katrina survivors.

18. I guess it's been a rather productive summer!
Graduated from law school. Moved to Irving, Texas from Pittsburgh. Studied for the Texas bar exam. Took the Texas bar exam. Visited family in Toronto and friends in Wichita. Read a LOT of non-law-related books. Watched tennis. Cursed the Bush maladministration and everyone connected to it.

Summer lovin' had me a blast
Summer lovin', happened so fast
I met a girl crazy for me
I met a boy, cute as can be

Summer days driftin' away,
To uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
Did you get very far?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Like, does he have a car?

She swam by me, she got a cramp
He went by me, got my suit damp
I saved her life, she nearly drowned
He showed off, splashing around
Summer sun, something's begun,
But uh-oh those summer nights

Tell me more, tell me more,
Was it love at first sight?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Did she put up a fight?
Took her bowlin' in the Arcade
We went strollin', drank lemonade
We made out under the dock
we stayed up until ten o'clock

Summer fling don't mean a thing,
But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
But you don't gotta brag
Tell me more, tell me more,
Cause he sounds like a drag

He got friendly, holdin' my hand
Well she got friendly, down in the sand
He was sweet, just turned eighteen
Well she was good, you know what I mean

Summer heat, boy and girl meet,
But uh-oh those summer nights
Tell me more, tell me more,
How much dough did he spend?
Tell me more, tell me more,
Could she get me a friend?

It turned colder, that's where it ends
So I told her we'd still be friends
Then we made our true love vow
Wonder what she's doin' now

Summer dreams ripped at the seams,
But oh, those summer night

29. Even cheesier....
And I remember how you loved me
Time was all we had until the day we said goodbye
I remember every moment of those endless summer nights

I still recall the walks along the beaches
And the way your hair would glisten in the sun
Rising in the afternoon
Making love to you under the moon, oh

Do you remember all the nights we spent in silence
Every single breath you took was mine
We can have it all again
Say that you’ll be with me when the sun brings your heart to mine
Oh, oh

I love you!!! :loveya:

Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 10:31 PM by tigereye
we are doing Sun style, but my teacher is also teaching Yang sword form.

Which form do you do? I have been doing Yang short form for about 12 years, push hands for a few and sword for about a year and a half.

Also I went to Cleveland, Chicago and San Francisco this summer and met a lot of DUers as well!

32. Tai Chi Sword? Cool!
I worked hard on my Iaido! I have worked to learn all of the basic Iaido forms to augment all of the Kuhapdo forms I regularly practice, and to perfect Master Shin's Kuhapdo form that I do in tournaments.

I also started writing a series of "swashbuckling historical" stories, a first for me, trying to crack the fantasy market. My character, Kintaro Koboyashi, is a ronin formerly employed as an Imperial Guard but is disgraced just after the start of the Meiji rebellion and exiled from Japan. It's fun. There are pirates!

I sold a short story to Escape Pod (www.escapepod.info) which hasn't been produced as a podcast yet.
