6. Why does everyone hate her so much? |
|
At least she's honest and no hypocrite. You know exactly what she thinks and exactly where she stands. I often disagree with her.... but she is passionate and she puts it all up front.
(And she has repeatedly trashed Bush, she can't stand the bastard.)

8. She scans country exploiting other people's misery all the time |
|
reminding you of her resume, her vast experience and her pretense of ethical superiority.... Because she very often pre-judges defendants, painting them guilty, strictly on circumstance. There is no gray area with her. It's her way or the highway. And when she is wrong -- like in a big verdict case, she is a sore loser. Plus the fact that her show is on twice a day, makes her even more grating.

14. Ok... I can see what you are saying |
|
And her ability to jump from accusation to guilty verdict is astounding. But in a sea of hypocricy, she's pretty constant - ya know what yer getting. You might not like it, but you can bet money on it. She doesn't fuck with you and nowadays that's a rare thing. She might be a bitch but she has a certain integrity.
Part of my problem with the way people are treating her is personal. Friends of mine were on her show. Their son may or may not have murdered his pregnant wife (I think he did but that's irrelevant). And there was no doubt that she thought he was guilty. But I thought she was very fair and tried to get all sides of the story told. No doubt what her view was..... but she tried to be fair.
I like her. I think she can be a stone cold bitch. I often disagree with her. But she's honest and she's upfront. And that's rare.

18. She is up front. No doubt. And I don' hate-hate her. |
|
I just thought my initial post was funny. And comically, visually, her plugging the levee is a funnier thought than Larry Kinig or Hannity who are much more deserving. Nancy's show is actually well put together with great guests. Though, I find she has a very limited way of delivering her lines/expressing herself. She always sounds the same and never seems to learn anything. She has no natural curiousity.

12. Why I can't stand her |
|
When I was in high school a local woman was murdered and the trial was covered on Court TV. Her coverage of it sickened me. She unnecessarily slandered many people and was fixated on blaming the crime on the fact that the murderer worked at a convenient store that happened to sell porn in a back room. People would call in with totally unrelated questions or comments and she try to make them say that he could have possibly caught a glimpse of a magazine someone was purchasing while he was stocking food in the front area. I'd have more respect for her if she wasn't always so single minded, could admit when she was wrong, didn't jump to conclusion so quickly, and wasn't condescending to anyone with different views.

a woman with bad hair who has a crime show on CNN. She's also one of the "newspeople" on CourtTV. She used to be a prosecutor. She specialized in violent crimes against women and children. Her fiancee was brutally murdered.
She has very strong ideas about crime and punishment, as one might expect.
She, although having many conservative views regarding law enforcement, has been very critical of the Bush administration.
Apparently, everybody hates her but me.....

Despite her declaration that this is the world's biggest "missing persons" story I doubt you could get her anywhere near the area.
