RIP RENO 5/1/93 - 9/2/05
Our good aussie girl crossed the rainbow bridge on Friday afternoon. She had been suffering from Cushings Disease and her arthritis had nearly incapacitated her. On Thursday she took a bad fall and cut her hip very badly. I could no longer stand to watch her try to struggle to walk and her dignity was at stake.

Our good Vet, Dr. Phillips came to the house to send the darling girl to a better place.

We miss you so our little "Police Woman" as she was known as.

We are having a bad time with our other Aussie who is blind and depended on Reno for her beacon. She misses her friend so much.

3. I'm so sorry montanacowboy
I lost a sweet girl dog to Cushings in 2000. I hope all the good memories you have of Reno will soon ease the sadness you feel today.

5. ohh, so sorry to hear it...
You had her a good chunk of time, though -- but I also know, personally: not good enough.

Travel well and gently, Reno!

7. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this.
I recently lost my beloved Cammy dog, also 1993-2005. She was my constant friend, companion and source of unconditional love since she was a pup. Just the sweetest thing--even though I'm told she was part pit bull, she never hurt a single thing in her entire life. I was heartbroken when she was losing ground so quickly and ready to do what I knew was best but it was as if she wanted to spare me that. We carried her out to the lawn where she loved to lie and sniff the air, and after while she laid down on her side and slipped away. I still cry, dream of her and talk to her as I wander through my lonely house. I still sense her presence. I shall always miss her--I know that's the way you feel about your little "Police Woman." I learned about how other pets grieve when Cammy left--our cat Julius didn't eat for several days and stayed very close to us. He finally got better, and I know Reno's friend will, too. Please take care and remember--Reno is worthy of your tears.

I agree with Mark Twain--if there are no dogs in heaven, I want to go where they are!

Blessings.

8. I'm so awfully sorry
I'm glad your vet could come to your home so she could be in a comfortable and loved place. It's so hard to lose a furry friend.

9. I am sorry for your loss.
She will be waiting for you to arrive at the bridge. Waiting for her long overdue belly rub and to give you a long overdue face licking! Pets are the only real friend you will ever have, they ask for nothing but your love and give it back tenfold.
