What are good mens' suit brands? |
|
I'm having fun poking around on ebay trying to get a good deal. I know it's probably not the best way to go, but I've picked up some great stuff so far.
Anyway, What are some good brands and what is there to look for in particular? My boss does eBay fishing too, but he's got a buttload more $ to burn than I.
I'm not adverse to used stuff so long as it's in good shape.

5. Thanks! Hey, what's the most critical measurement? |
|
such that if I screw that up the suit is no good, and what can be tailored well.
I think I wear a 40L - that's what fits most naturally, but my current tailored suit started out as a 42L.
Hmmmm...

11. No. It's called the 'drop', and it refers to the difference in inches |
|
between your chest measurement and your waist measurement. It's important for tailors to get it right, so that your trousers won't ride up or your jacket to hump up in back.

I think I have one from them, too. It's been a number of years since I've worn a suit, though (thank you bidness casual dress code!).

12. Different cuts for different guys |
|
I wouldn't buy a suit based on brand name. Armani's nice, but it's shoulder style may look crappy on you. You may look better in something with an English cut, instead of the baggier American style.
I wouldn't do it. Just sayin'...
