Of course, i have to go GD, where i spend most of my time. I can be more self-important and pompous in GD.

1. Play any golf lately?

I played in a tournament two weeks ago. My team couldn't hit a GIR to save our lives. So we scrambled to a 72. I'm going out this weekend, I think.

2. Yep! All The Time

Don't forget i'm in a hurry. I gotta play now while i know i can. The MS could ruin me so while it hasn't (and might never; fingers crossed) i'm playing all i can.

I played this LD weekend all three days. Shot 75 Saturday and 76 Sunday, 75 again on Monday. But, i played best Sunday. I just made a lot of putts on Saturday. Monday, i had a two birds, because i hit two approaches within 3 feet. That's just luck. Hit it lots better and more consistently on Sunday.

For me, every swing is a separate event. The score is an artifact of how many good swings i put on the ball. The swing is all that matters. Sort of a zen approach to golf.

All too often I find myself mentally playing old shots instead of living in the moment of the next shot. I'm going to try your way.

I'm trying to get back to where I can break 90 without much effort. I don't play enough to be that consistent.

When i bury myself in the moment, i don't feel the pain in my legs. Golf is, in all seriousness, therapy for me. Without it, i think i would have shot myself by now.

Actually i have to play a benefit on Friday night, so i leave here at 6am Friday morning. I have a meeting in Chicago at 10am, then i go home, catch some z's, and go to the benefit.

But, really thanks for mentioning it, and i'm really sorry i can't make it.

8. Better Than Sleeping In A Rental Car

Just kidding. Yeah, i'd way rather be home with my wife, doggie, kitties and my guitars and piano. But, one has to do what one has to do. I get paid more than i ever imagined i get paid and i'm not having to kill myself for the job. So, i put up with it. Of course, i put up with it 15 to 20 times a year.

That leads me to think you have to kill others! So what do you make per contract? 10-15g's? You have about 15-20 jobs a year at 15k each- that damn near 200k tax free a year!


All in all though, being away from home sucks.

The president of the company was here today to announce the new plant manager. So, i was there on a day with a big deal luncheon. Had chicken parmagean, so wasn't looking for dinner tonight. But, thanks for the tip.
