Ms. Crier -
I am writing today to let you know of my disappointment in a statement you made lumping 'Liberals' together in the same grouping as 'Commies' and 'Pinkos'. I am Liberal and proud to say that I am a "Progressive Thinker". I possess both 'Family' and 'Human' values. I care about my country and am a patriot. I work and pay my fair share of taxes. I volunteer - with the American Red Cross this week in light of the damage done by Hurricane Katrina. I donate money to charity.
I value truth and honesty. I am happy to live in a country founded by enlightened individuals who crafted a beautiful Constitution and had the clarity of thinking in providing a strong foundation for this country. I hate to see that foundation being undermined.
Please stop inserting your bias in inflammatory statements such as the one you made today.
There really is nothing wrong in being a Liberal-minded person. Thankfully there were several of them who indeed crafted this great nation.
I would hope that you refrained from showing bias when you were a 'sitting' judge.

10. Well - I had just returned home from spending part of the day out with

a friend and turned on the telly. I decided to tear myself away from the constant coverage of Hurricane Katrina and switched to Court TV to see what was going on there.
The Catherine Crier Show was on and she was beginning a segment on something about the 'Patriot Act' - there was a guest there from the ACLU. She began the segment by saying something (sorry, I can't remember the full context) about the usual types of people, Liberals, Commies and Pinkos who are upset about this act....blah, blah, blah.
It just upset me that she said it so blase-like and it really got under my skin. Esp. when people watch these things and think that whatever the Host/Moderator says is honest and factual.
I turned the channel and later thought I would write my feelings.
Got it out of my system.

She has had *many* shows on the dangers of the Faketriot Acts, I suspect she might have been employing the term tongue-in-cheek. Obviously, she should have taken more care with her terminology, even so.
