Hey Guitar Players!
Does that picture of Silverspoon on the home page make you want to puke as much as it does me?

He's the only person that makes me wish i WASN'T a guitar player. Man, how i loathe that idiot.

3. That Barely Matters
It's just seeing him with the guitar that pisses me off.

2. WTF is that, a Taylor?
They sound good, but they're ugly. Give me a Gibson jumbo any day.

11. See My Reply To Hedges
And, don't cross me. There will be long term consequences. Martin is all that matters. So i have spoken, so let it be done.

10. Martin. Except No Substitute!
No. I'm not kidding. Accept no substitute. They play better than Gibsons, and they sound WAY better than Taylors. I tried 12 different guitars before i bought mine. Accept no substitute or i will be most disappointed.

12. I am actually looking into a low end Martin steel string for my son
I love the way it sounds.

I do like Gibsons though, but even the low end ones are out of our price range.

15. Don't Get The Martins, That Are All Dark Mahogany
They're fairly cheap, but they sound really mushy. The lower line Taylors are better than those. In fact, some of the higher price Fenders are better guitars. (Fender bought Guild and used some of the lower cost designs to introduce a far better Fender line in acoustics than they used to have.)

We recommended one for our drummer when his wife wanted to buy him one for his b-day. It's a really quite good guitar. Might at least want to check them out first.

18. Thanks for the tip
My son currently has an old cheapie classical guitar, a Strat copy electric, and a Gibson SG Special Faded.

13. I love the sound of a Martin.
Frankly, the best thing about Martin (IMO) is that their "cheap" line (under $600) sounds better than most manufacturers' top-of-the-line models.

I don't like dreadnoughts, though. And there aren't too many Martin jumbos.

14. You're Right. And, They're REALLY Expensive
Mine is a dread. I've got one of the newer ones (DCM). It's mahogany back and sides, instead of rosewood like the older ones. But, of course, they make new ones that way, but they're a ton of money. (At least $5k.) I paid enough for the one i got, and my wife didn't kill me over it. That's a good thing.

16. My favorite acoustic is my Harmony Sovereign from the 60s
Got it for free, and though my students affectionately nicknamed it "the Cheese Grater" at one point because the action is so high, it sounds great!

17. I ADORE Sovereigns.
I have a black one, also with obscenely high action (bowed neck). It's great for slide, thought.

I know a guy who has a couple of pristine Sovereigns, though. And an absolutely mint blonde Patrician. I am a big Harmony (U.S.A.) fan. The best you'll find for the money you'll spend!

6. Why did they have to ruin a perfectly good Carvin
With that presidential seal. Now that his fingers have touched it, it will never stay in tune. x(

8. It Was Out Of Tune Already
The guitar just knew it was for Silverspoon. As soon as that happened, the top warped and it was already shot. Guitars have feelings too.

7. Not pointy enough for you?
:D

That he appears to be totally clueless with it (and that it is kind of an uggo guitar) is enough for me to make peace with the image.

9. NOPE!
I don't have any pointy guitars, despite the lies told by Batboy and XNASA. (Yes, they lie!)

But, him being clueless does NOT diminish my anger. Him merely holding the guitar just PISSES ME OFF!

19. Yes it does
I wouldn't mind having that guitar though. I could sell it to some freeper dipshit and buy me a real one.

20. every picture, film, soundclip, text description of that "man"
makes me cringe. He makes me ashamed of humanity, until I remind myself that he probably doesn't qualify as a member of that species.

Anyway, yeah, he should put the guitar down, dammit.
