But I haven't been following it because I've been consumed with this katrina mess.

But you know that was a huge factor in the NFL scheduling the game on a Thursday night to kick off the season. And you know the announcers will be sure to remind people about it throughout the game, probably kicking off the game with a visual recap of that infamous playoff game.

On the other hand, nobody ever talks about Jack Tatum's incident.

As a Raiders fan, I've let it go. But of course I would love to see the Raiders beat the Pats on national TV to kick off the season. That could set the tone for the rest of the year.

the raiders just might win tonight - this season shouLd be tougher for the pats; aside from the #2 toughest scheduLe, they Lost both coordinators. we'LL see if they can keep it together.
pats aLso Lost their 2 inside Linebackers - 1 to retirement, and 1 to a stroke. doh!

however, kerry coLLins as a QB doesn't bode weLL.
