My cats are leveling curses at me..... |
|
It is flea treatment day....
How in the world inside cats are plagued by fleas is any body's guess...
They are all in a very foul mood, looking at me with open disdain bordering on outright hatered.....
Oh no, here they come....
AHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRGGGGGGG

4. You may have walked on dirt or grass infested with flea eggs |
|
and then tracked them inside on your shoes and onto the carpet. And cats are often very near the floor.

9. Doesn't matter if you have carpeting or not, really... |
|
as long as you have a mat inside your door to wipe your shoes on. Remember the English mad-cow situation? People getting off planes had to step on these disinfectant mats, in case they'd been to a farm in the UK. And if they got into your trouser-cuffs and you put the pants into the clothes hamper, well... these bugs are very resilient and breed like, well, bugs, and the eggs can survive for some time. You may have to spray your yard. You'll certainly have to scour your interiors. Remember how bubonic plague was spread. ;)

7. Open a can of wet food |
|
No matter what reason your cats are angry with you, as soon as you open a can of wet food and give it to them the whole world is right in their opinion.
You just have to recognize that their brain is what we humans call our stomach!

10. are you giving them Advantage behind the neck? |
|
My cats, indoor, got fleas once because they like to sit near and look out of the screened door. They are still inside but that is the only way the vet said they could have gotten fleas. She said fleas can get through regular screen openings.

As soon as the smell settles down, they're ok.
