Nair apparently leaves a big stink, doesn't work well/is painful for thick, dark hair, and isn't lasting enough to make any of those things less irritating.

Waxing is very, very painful. I've only ever had my eyebrows waxed once, and that was enough - there's no way in hell I would wax anything else.

Nair can also make you break out - I tried it a few times when I was younger and it worked, but after awhile I must have developed an allergy or something because my legs got red and blotchy. Not fun.
