Is it me, or do we have a lot of n00bs joining lately

It seems like a third of my posts in this past week have been "Welcome to DU" posts...I am not complaining, in fact I think it is cool!

1. I noticed the same thing.

For the most part, I think it's a good thing. :hug: KW. Those "Welcome" posts mean a lot to a new member; I remember when I first started posting, and I'll never forget the generous spirits of longtime members who welcomed me.

4. I for one would like to see more foreign newbies:

: middle-easterners for starts... One on one dialogs with people in Baghdad would be nice...., hearing their opinions without the aid/filters of a news-service could be priceless, especially here in the DU. (ok that is my half-baked notion for the evening, stay tuned tomorrow evening, same bat time same bat channel for another).

just wanted to say hi, I tried to take your test a bit ago, all I got was a blue screen, (likely bush-wacked)

It starts off as a powder blue screen then the test comes up. What speed connection do you have?

I get the powder Blue also but alas nothing after, I will try again adding a bit of patience into the mix.

....but even with patience my poor sick computer could do little to improve on that. My kids been wanting to fix this, gonna have to listen to them for a change. (Smilies are no longer even animated here....) I'll bookmark this and try after repairs have been done.
