It's been on all week, and it is just FASCINATING! The Romans were (and still are) an amazing people! I've been LOVING it!

Starts with the first Man in ROme and continues on for six books....
Really detailed history of the rise of republicanism to the emperor...

Not quite as historically accurate as the History Channel series, I'm sure. But the gratuitous full-frontal shots of big-bottomed women emerging from their baths somewhat makes up for it, to my way of thinking.
