What is the best way to win at chess?
Simple: Get the black pawns and the white ones to realize they're both being played for as chumps and have 'em team up.

The wobblies tried that same logic in 1914. With the queens and knights all lined up behind them, the pawns would get slaughtered. And yes, I am still working within the confines of your metaphore

2. Precisely. We may be aware of the world, but we're still pawns.
And we still get slaughtered regardless.
