Poll question: Best Second-Tier British Invasion Band
We all love the Beatles, The Stones, The Who, etc. But what about the other bands that followed the Beatles in the British Invasion?

I have a soft spot for The Dave Clark Five.

Note: Anyone who votes for Herman's Hermits as the other choice will incur the wrath of Zod.

1. Are the Kinks considered second-tier?
If so them. If not, the Zombies by far.

2. I don't think the Kinks are a second-tier band.
I think they deserved to be mentioned in the same breath as the Stones, The Who, Cream, among others.

4. It depends on your definition--they couldn't tour the US from '65-'69
Their singles (excepting three or four) didn't have anywhere near the popularity of the Beatles' or the Stones'. As far as songwriting and talent goes, they are definitely top-tier, though.

3. Tough choice
The Hollies, The Zombies, The Moody Blues, and The Small Faces all get my vote, but I like the others as well. I also think The Kinks are first tier.

7. The Small Faces
If for no other reason than 3 of the 4 original members became one of the top tier bands of the early 70's, when they were no longer so "Small".

What was Steve Marriot thinking when he left that band? For Peter fucking Frampton of all people?

Mrs Brown (Rosenfeld) had such a lovely daughter (leaning on the lamp post) :7

I voted for the Animals, though Eric Burden is second-tier to no one.

11. Of Those You List, General
The Zombies, followed by The Animals.

But the best of them was The Searchers....
