The Monday morning tell progmom what you're listening to thread.
:hi:

I work in a cubicle, so this is being pumped in via headphones, but I'm really digging it. Dancing a little in my chair. ;)

1. I'm listening to some public radio. Call in show today about
the hurricane, and who should take responsibility for the debacle.

MOstly, it's quite strongly on the "Shrubbie should take the brunt of the responsibility!" though the reasons do differ: either for not doing anything, or for appointing incompetent boobs.

No earphones needed. :eyes:

I liked a lot of the Brazilian stuff you played on Saturday. My jazz collection needs an upgrade.

The station plays 60's, 70's, 80's rock! Right now "We are the Champion" is on.

8. REM greatest hits 1988-2003?
some really nice loved and obscure tunes. Frankly I prefer the obscure ones. Great liner notes.

That was in the car. Now I have to pick something to work by from husband's treasure trove of MP3 goodies. Somehow I am in the mood for reggae or some such. :)

9. I'd love to see you dancing in your chair.
Nothing at the moment - but I'm starting to realise that I need to work, and so we might jump to Bach organ preludes and fugues via head-phones.

23. I know what you mean - some music just needs dancing.
b.t.w. I have succumbed, currently on the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV 565) - the toccata has just finished, that's the boring part, just the organist showing off flying all over the manuals - the fugue is starting up, and is truly one of the most incredible pieces of music ever.

33. Right now, nothing
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 02:06 PM by mvd
Recently:

Hope Partlow - Who We Are

Diana Anaid - Beautiful Obscene

both recommended!

Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang (on full album listening party - it has its moments, but I can't help but feel much of it is like watered down Stones. Some of the writing also seems like an attempt to make themselves seen as new. I'd give it a B- as I can manage that grade as a fan.)

Emma Roberts - "Dummy" (her voice sure isn't more mature than her age, and the song just sounds like a rhyme with dummy. Not as good as "I Wanna Be.")

The Like - they could be one of my new favorites

Krystal Meyers - a little overtly religious, and the style is an EXACT Avril copy. The new Avril could be Ana Johnsson if she can get popular.

Ana, Shaye, and Amanda Scott all sound like good imports to get.

Easy mistake to make.

Right now, listening to the new Pussycat Dolls (thumbs down) and Paul McCartney (didn't seem up to standards at all - less than the new RS album is) CDs at full album listening party
