9. They've had Young for how many years now?
Every year, there's at least one historically large choke job. That's why Mack Brown has never won anything.

If they ever do win a national championship, I might have to go into hiding. The "insufferable meter" will be off the charts.

10. A&M is the only scary team left on the schedule
And I do respect your Aggies very much this year, David. Actually, the Tech game scares me too. The Horned Ones need to be careful and not get overconfident, but I think that Mack is making them take it one game at a time.

12. We've already had our massive choke job.
So, yeah, now that there's nothing to lose, we might be dangerous. ;)

Tech is a home game for you at least. Lubbock is a freaking black hole. Stupid things ALWAYS happen there.

14. Well, Fran needs to figure out when to go for the deuce.
That kinda surprised me. On the other hand, Clemson is a solid team and you were on the road. You still looked respectable. You guys will get on a streak and be foaming at the mouth by the time you play the Horns. That oughtta be a good one.

17. I don't trust Fran...I think his tenure is doomed.
I think he treated the team and people at Alabama like crap.

I hope we get it turned around this week. We play SMU, who beat TCU, who beat Oklahoma.

as long as your not part of the 12th man thingy and ummm... as long as you don't do the "whoop" sound... your okay in my book! :P

On a related note, I graduated from SMU. And... NO, I am not a mustang fan! :)

Two-percenter! :P

I kinda wish I went to a small school that cared more about education than sports. But, the die has been cast.

Oh, SMU is A&M's opponent this week.

22. Yeah...SMU REALLY cared....
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 02:36 PM by Texasgal
The year after I started was the year the football program got busted for paying off players and playing them with crappy grades. We were banned from playing. I guess that's why I never *really* enjoyed the 'stangs football program. :)

Oh Well... Burnt Orange was beat into me since I was a small child, when I applied to SMU, I thought my family was going to disown me! :)

23. My mom hated that I went to A&M.
She wanted me to go to UT. She got over it.

I still wish I'd gone to a smaller school. I felt lost at A&M when I first went.

24. That is one of the main reasons for me
going to SMU.

I attended a summer "see UT" type deal, and I was scared out of my mind! It was so huge, I was so scared of it!!

Ofcourse, SMU was scary too, only because I was the poorest chic there! :) But, yeah... it was small and easier to navigate!

late against ___________, and it coming back to bite him on the ass again. Otherwise, I could almost pull for the horns.

29. Austin PISSES me off during football season
I've lived here for 10 years and I still cannot get over how this city shuts down for football season. You'd think there was nothing going on in the rest of the world but UT football. It's first thing on the news and the last as well. AAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

31. Welcome to Austin!
That's all part of the Austin culture. I am native, and Austin was a very small college town many, many moons ago. So, in some ways... Austin has not changed! :)

Embrace it! Don't fight it! Let loose.... GOOOOOO HORNS!!! :P
