1. You did say *bad* poetry, didn't you?
Sunrise

From the terrace I watch for the first light of dawn

Such tranquility exists nearby and beyond

No discord from traffic, from children or dogs

Just occasional soundings from crickets and frogs

The sky is awash with infinite hues

Magentas and purples and vibrant dark blues

No clouds obscure this majestic scene

This time of the day is supremely serene

O’er the horizon shine the first rays of light

Radiant and gleaming, so luminous and bright

The sky is bathed in the Sun’s golden glow

I watch it in awe from my perch down below

Alas it is over, but no need for sorrow

For another will happen the same way tomorrow

3. Selections of bad poetry
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 02:26 AM by Hardrada
He went across the veldt
As fast as he could pelt!

Poor South her books get fewer and fewer
She was never much given to literature.

The terrible news so much it shocked her
She quite forgot to call the doctor.

First he petted her, then he patted her
Then he passed the female catheter.

All selections from the wonderful Stuffed Owl anthology.
