Wow, my first moment of hope since Dec 12, 2000 - just had it
a few moments ago, I felt hope - now I remember what it feels like! - when Fuckstick McAWOL took responsibility for the debacle. I had a moment of hope that he will resign. And it felt soooooo good!

I know that in reality it's too much to hope for, but by golly, I am glad to have tasted hope just for a second, to remember what it was like. It sure felt good!!

9. I'm sure it's like this, dude
I'm sure this is taking responsibility in the same way that Donald Rumsfeld took full responsibility for completely fucking up every fucking little thing in Iraq, which is to stand up and say you take full responsibility and then carry doing exactly as you were before as if nothing happened.

12. When you're in the Bush administration
taking responsibility is exactly the same as not taking responsibility. It's just words.

3. Problem is, he doesn't mean it. He simply cannot comprehend the concept
of responsibility.

Maybe a nice warm & fuzzy moment, but only another cynical PR ploy engineered by Rove.

5. We can hope!
Problem is , his ratings are so down in the tank that he has to say something positive to keep his 'followers' happy.

Bush on Katrina response: 'I take responsibility'
13 Sep 2005 16:07:46 GMT
Source: Reuters
WASHINGTON, Sept 13 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush took responsibility on Tuesday for failures in the federal government's response to Hurricane Katrina.

"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government, and to the extent that the federal government didn't fully do it's job right, I take responsibility," Bush said. "I want to know what went right and what went wrong."

8. I have to admit I think it was a Clinton/Saddam/Osama/Hillary
tag team that destroyed the levys and flooded the town and kept the federal government from responding.

What else could it have been?

10. I'm cynical.
His fingers are crossed. He's just saying it because he figures nothing else will bring his polls back up above 40%.
