Way to go Atlanta Falcons!
It is so good to see the Eagles lose.

1. We'll get you next time as always

:P

I don't like the Falcons and it will be nice showing that it was a fluke.

2. BTW
Don't take much from the first game. I made the mistake of thinking the Eagles would beat the Buccaneers because of the way the Eagles won earlier in the season. I don't think the Eagles or Falcons have changed much.

But sports is just a diversion. I will carry on after any Eagles loss, while the people of New Orleans and Mississippi are suffering.

17. I think your last line should go without saying.
Quite honestly, it scares me to think that some people believe that just because I follow sports that it is everything in my life. Then again, after encountering some of the anti-sports crowd, it's obvious those people don't base their assumptions on much of anything.

I just hate how people are made to feel they need to say that, even though the vast majority of the people I encounter that love sports know better anyway.

5. doubt it
The Falcons had the Eagles covered so well they shut down just about every drive, in fact the Eagles did a lot of floundering and not much more.

3. I hope they all get the "bird flu"
that horror show last night basically canceled out Sunday's huge win for America's Team, the New Orleans Saints, leaving us sunk in a three-way tie atop the division and ensuring that we actually have to win another game -- possibly even two -- in order to clinch. :-)

10. I don't buy this "America's Team" crap
My team is my team, and I will not pull for the Saints, just because their home city has suffered so much. Supporting the Saints doesn't bring them any more food, water, and shelter.

I didn't pull for the Yankees in the 2001 Series either. A person has to have standards.

11. I agree 110% - I'm no Saints fan here
My heart goes out for NOLA just as much as the next person but I'm not buying into this "America's Team" crap. If something had happen to Philadelphia I would be aghast to see people thinking they need to cheer on a team for some sort of sympathetic reason. And btw, I never cheered on any NY team after 9/11.

BTW, personally I don't really have any negative attitude about the Saints in general. But another example - if Katrina had damaged Dallas the way it did New Orleans I'd still despise the Cowsissies just as much as I do now.

I think losing Trotter for the game hurt us and it was just an all around crappy game. Good, we have that out of our system now we can win the next 15 games!

14. Gawd, I hate Dallas
I am sorry my Bolts couldn't beat them Sunday. It was another cardiac game - the Chargers could have won on the last pass - the last play, in the end zone, but alas, it was a failure.

Luckily, we have 15 games to go after the disappointing losses for your team and mine.

12. Why do you hate America so much? j/k
As an ex-N.O. resident I have a disinterested interest here, although my paper bag (size 7 3/4) was lost in one of the moves :-) I never thought I'd live to see the day that there would be a Saints bandwagon!

Much like baseball fans are allowed to have an AL and an NL team, we'd allow you to adopt an NFC team (but only that one!) for the duration. We will even consider serving ZombyCoffee at Tiger Stadium and the Alamodome :-)

As for standards, you expect an ex-Baghead to have standards?! :-)

13. My NFC team is the Bears
My Dad lived there in the early 80's, while they were building up their Super Bowl franchise - I used to visit often and fell in love with Chicago. Still a fan of Da Bears.

And yes, I do have a favorite NL and AL team... :-)

19. My AFC is the Bengals but only because I've been a Reds fan forever
I really don't follow them but if I was forced to commit to an AFC it would probably be the Bengals

18. Here, here!
It's loathsome the fucking bullshit the media will try to pull...

Yeah, here's hoping they do well this year, but when the Patriots play them, here's hoping they lose by 50.

8. "Michael Vick is over rated"
I heard that on a sports radio show, they were discussing "Fantasy football". I have no idea if his numbers don't do well for such endeavors....I just know he is exciting as hell to watch.

Oh, yeah. As a (primarily) Hoos fan I can't let you get aways without...
