|
And after having the bike place fix 'er back up. Brought it home yesterday, but just as I pulled in, the skies opened up. SO, I got to ride it to the end of the block and back today.

3. What kinda ride you got? |
|
I've thought about buying a used bike to ride around a bit. I don't want to spend a mint, but I'd like some quality. Kinda like buying a used Lexus. :D

7. It's a Raleigh Portage 18 speed off-road |
|
Don't think mountain bike, just off-road - bit wider tires, bit stronger frame.
Paid $350 for it in 1985. I have no idea what a similar bike would cost now. The guy at the bike shop said it was a really good one - made by Raleigh back when they actually made them in England, instead of having China do it, and when they still made some of the components out of steel.

8. Sorta like a modern hybrid? |
|
I'd have to ride it on flat ground getting used to all those speeds.
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal.

6. No, no protective shit |

Can't stand it... and I mostly ride slow and safe in safe, car free areas.
