It just dawned on me.
"Sex And The City" = "The Golden Girls" with more youth and less clothes.

Sarah Jessica Parker = Bea Arthur
Kim Cattrall = Rue McLanahan
Kirsten Davis = Betty White
Cynthia Nixon = Estelle Getty

It all makes sense now.

2. I've heard people say this a lot
And, quite frankly, it's insulting to the Golden Girls, which was a far superior show.

*nerd snort*

11. thankyou. no one makes pissant comparisons to my favorite show.
and even if it were SitC would be in its shadow so badly it'd grow pasty, shriveled, and eyeless.

the television elitist PSA has concluded, we will now return you to your regular programming.

7. Just proved my own theory.
My wife watched two reruns of "SATC" earlier this evening, and is now watching a rerun of "Golden Girls".

It's great to be vindicated.

8. Also "Arrested Development" = "SOAP"
I had thought this for a while, but then when the magician brother brought out his ventriloquism dummy, it just sealed it.

You're right about Sex in the City, though.

12. Really? Never read the thing myself.
Not surprising that more than one person has drawn that conclusion.
