4. Flight of Icarus.....

As the sun breaks above the ground
An old man stands on the hill
As the ground warms to the first rays of light
A birdsong shatters the still

His eyes are ablaze
See the madman in his gaze

Fly on your way like an eagle
Fly as high as the sun
On your wings like an eagle
Fly and touch the sun

Now the crowd breaks and a young boy appears
Look the old man in his eyes
As he spreads his wings and shouts at the crowd
In the name of God my father I fly

His eyes seem so glazed
As he flies on the wings of a dream
Now he knows his father betrayed
Now his wings burn to ashes to ashes his grave

Fly on your way like an eagle
Fly as high as the sun
On your wings like an eagle
Fly and touch the sun

5. Best Maiden video.
Why? Because at the end, they turn up a dial in the studio labeled "EDDIE." :D

7. It's right before Bruce hits the long, high note.
Eddie gives him the power to do so.

20. Ha
KHAN!!!

A buddy of mine was racing in a 24 hour mountain bike race a few years back. We went along and drank beer (greatest sporting spectacle I have ever seen).

After one of his runs he came over to our camp and said "You won't believe what song I had in my head the whole damned lap" (about an hour plus ride)

THAT ONE

Though we were no fans of Bon Jovi (great politics) in the 80's we all knew the song by heart.

Used to do a parody of that in a band in college.

Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 04:34 PM by jandrok
Brings 'em to their knees every time.

I could also make a case for:

Priest's "Livin' After Midnight"

Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back In Town"

Metallica's "Master of Puppets"

Slayer's "War Ensemble"

But I DO love that old school Maiden, Brother.

21. I really liked "For Whom The Bells Tolls" from Ride the Lightning
And "Master of Puppets" from the album of the same name. But I am hardly well listened to as far as this genre goes.

27. Fall From Grace
Morbid Angel's finest moment from their finest album, the pinnacle of death metal - "Blessed Are The Sick".

I love Maiden though... hard to go wrong with any of the early 80's Dickinson-era offerings.
