How much do you hate your employer?

I am so pissed off with my current job and employer I am ready to leave tomorrow. I have threatened to quit as unemployment would be desirable even though I would be paid less. At least it would be consistent money coming in. I am supposed to be salaried and right now I am on track for less than 1/2 my salary. Needless to say, the boss is facing several years in prison if I want to turn him in at some point. FOrtunately it looks like I have some interviews next week.

1. My boss is a Dem and she rocks. The job....has its good and bad points.

The bad points being that I have to be there five days a week and I get freaked out when I have to call out when my kid is sick. Also, that I don't make 80 or 90K. That sucks.

Why do we have to work five days a week anyway? It's highly improbable that most officey type work *needs* to be done *every single day*. If there was any fairness in the world, we'd work four days and have off for three.

4. The sad part is

I sort of like most of my job, which is software development. I just hate the unbelievable levels of stupidity my boss comes up with. Figures he is a Republican.

I'm a tutor, I have 3 bosses, one each for Math/Sci, Writing, and ESL. Loooove the ESL boss, like the Math/Sci, HATE the Writing. Sigh...
