3. AWESOME. We need a little direction though.
Try to describe what's what. I just had one of these about 11 months ago. I could tell what everything was, and was dumbfounded when others couldnt' see it. But when your'e there watching it on the screen, it's easier for you to see it in the picture. GIve us a little heads up. It helps.

Again, Congrats. AWESOME.

7 weeks. Heart beat 140bpm.

We still haven't told many people... worried about things going well through the first 3 months.

I am stoked for you. It wasn't that long ago that I felt the same thing. We waited a while too. Same qualms about telling people. Again, Congrats.

31. Heh. I'm planning on putting headphones on the wife's stomach and playing
Mike Malloy nightly for him/her.

Gotta wait until the second trimester. Doesn't work well when they don't have ears.

32. Do not do that! You will damage the kid's hearing!
Seriously! There have been documented cases in which it was proven that placing headphones on the mother's belly caused hearing damage in the fetus. I'm not going to take the time to find articles, but it was written up extensively last year. Go look it up on WebMD or something. If you want to do the Bach thing, the baby can hear it just fine from the stereo speakers.

46. My kid liked male voices
the spouse used to talk with him nightly. When I went to work the following day (mostly men there) the kid would turn around like crazy. They are so bonded now....

Now about the musical instruments, that is another story altogether!

45. Do we get to name it?
I vote for

"Zorgoth, Chancellor of the Grasslands"
as a first name.

and make everyone refer to him or her that way....in it's entirety......

Imagine......

1st grade:

teacher) Sally? would you come up and draw a picture of your house?
sally) ummmm....my hand hurts, teacher

teacher) Ok...thats fine.....Zorgoth, Chancellor of the Grasslands? Would YOU like to come up and draw a picture of your house?
Zorgoth, Chancellor of the Grasslands ) I'm sorry teacher, but the blackboard isn't big enough.

Later, on the playground......

Sally) Do i HAVE to call you Zorgoth, Chancellor of the Grasslands? Can't i just call you "Zorgy"?

Zorgoth, Chancellor of the Grasslands) If you call me "Zorgy" my daddy says i have to slay you.

Sally) Slay me?
Zorgoth, Chancellor of the Grasslands) Yup. And your family too. With a Broadsword. Pets included. Sorry.

Come on...ya gotta admit...the idea has merit.
