16. Ok, look for craft beers that you can get in that area.
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 11:48 AM by WeRQ4U
How about SUmmit, Three Floyds, Kalamazoo, Leinenkugels, Boulevard etc.

WHy don't you try a wheat beer like Boulevard? I think you might like it. It's less hoppy and bitter than West Coast beers and IPA's. And Hefs usually go down really easily.

Word of warning though, some Wheat Beers still have shit suspended in them and are really cloudy, but don't worry about it. They taste good and it's not liek you have to chew them.

4. Coors Light? Drink a Perrier and then hit yourself between the eyes
with a ball-peen hammer.

Seriously, there are so many other beers out there that are so much better. But you have to like the taste of beer. If you do, I can name several "gateway" beers.

No wonder you don't have fond memories. Don't ever buy something from a box.

14. I like PBR!
But I also like Miller High Life, and I'll drink Budweiser. I'm not much of a light beer drinker...

How about Corona Light? Or maybe Amstel?

God, I am torturing myself, 'cause I'm having to abstain from alcohol right now, I gotta stop....

And just for the hell of it, here is my list of all-time favorite shitty, cheap beers:

1. PBR
2. Miller High Life
3. Schlitz
4. Strohs
5. Iron City (used to be about $6.00 a case at the local store)
6. Yuengling Lager
7. Lone Star
8. National Bohemian
9. Mickey's (I guess that's a "malt liquor", but whatever)
10. Olympia ("It's Water")

8. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Anchor Steam, Pilsner Urquell or Stella Artois
All tasty brews without to unusuall of flavors that might put off mild beer drinkers.

44. Pilsner Urquell..... droooooool
Fantastic brew that is. I was introduced to it a few years ago and look for it anytime I make a run, very tasty stuff. I'm also really fond of Special Export (there are several varieties of Special X, I prefer the Cameroonian type). If hard lemonades turn you off and you want something like beer, but not hoppy, I'd suggest Hornsby's Cider. Not too sweet and not too bitter, very refreshing and much better than Mike's or any of those other alcoholic fruit punches.

29. Busch Lite
if you want to keep drinking tasteless swill.

Otherwise, step up to something a bit more schmecklich.

Bass Pale Ale (English)
New Belgium Fat Tire (Colorado)
Pilsner Urquell (Czech)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (California)

Finding one you like is half the fun.

I suggest a nice hookup with something light and refreshing like a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. That's a good gateway beer. Or maybe a nice Sammy Adams.
