Hi and stuff.
So I'm new. and I'm making a thread. and I feel ok about that. Because you can't beat me up through the computer.
I like nail polish, Marlboro Reds (though I'm trying to quit,) and fuzzy navels (yes, the drink-- don't make that into a lewd question.)
I have never had a cat. My parents had a beagle when I was in High School. She was incontinent and had a ridiculous number of allergies. She was slightly cute.
Ask me something. I love to share. And in all seriousness, I'm very sarcastic, so I hope I don't offend anyone. :hi:

Perhaps I can get some of the "snarkiness" out of my system, here. My husband doesn't get it and thinks I'm constantly mad at him. He's such a freakin' wuss.

He is probably long gone to Mexico, and before your time.

How did you get to DU?

18. Not familiar w/ Mr. McKinnon,
I got to DU via the Kerry/Edwards site (yeah I've lurked for awhile-- on and off.) I generally read in GD, but I'm burned out on anger and frustration and I need a bit of levity. The Lounge seems like a riot.

34. Hello!
Would it surprise you to know I've never been south of Minnesota? In fact, my family never traveled when I was growing up. When I was eleven or twelve, I met a girl who told me she was from Wisconsin, and I said, "Really? What kind of trees do you have there?" She looked at me like I was a dumbass-- because I kind of was.

35. That's sorta like me.
I rarely went to Minnesota growing up. The one time I remember was just barely over the boarder in the little town of Harmony. I had never been to even Rochester, let alone the Cities until I moved up to Minnesota. Vacation for us was a drive to Prairie Du Chien on a Sunday afternoon.

38. I lived in several 'burbs of the cities.
Somehow we managed to find the "ghetto" in Eden Prairie. When I had finished my last quarter of college and was a few months shy of having my son, I worked at Wal-Mart to pass the days and some lady came up and asked me if I wanted my baby. Nice. No, ma'am, I've just been waiting for someone to come up to me at work and ask if they can have my kid.
