search on google for "!=" <--with or without quotes Is this just me? And the page lacks any other tips for searching and there should be lots of hits.. Check: http://www.google.com/search?q=php+not+equal&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficialResults 1 - 50 of about 11,200,000 for php not equal. Even if it did work, I image you'd get more hits than you'd want. != is used in many programming languages -- not just PHP.

2. I know that it is common.. |
|
I just find it odd that it didn't work. I wonder if it is a glitch in googles code? Seems like an odd thing to lack results.

3. Apparently all punctuation only queries do that |
|
In my simple testing. I think Google strips the punctuation, and so there's nothing to search for. But you're right, it should probably say something about it.
