I need book suggestions... |
|
I'm sure there are many avid readers here. It's been so long since I've found time to pick up a book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it to the end. It's time to get back in the habit :) Any recommendations?
Thanks bunches :hi:

1. What types of books do you like |
|
If you like baseball, "Cool of the Evening" is a good one, it is a biography of the 1965 Minnesota Twins.

I won't limit myself to any one genre or subject. I've committed myself to one book every two weeks, so I'm sure I'll have enough to choose from :)
Thanks for the suggestion :hi:

2. If you wanna get knocked on your ass... |
|
...read Daniel Quinn's "Ishmael" (and, if you have time, the subsequent trilogy: "The Story of B" and "My Ishmael")
and
Derrick Jensen's "The Culture of Make Believe".
You won't be the same person after reading these two...

7. Shogun by James Clavell. |

One of my best reads. Starts a little slow, but becomes one of the best stories ever.
