Wild weather changes
Yesterday we were outside planting bulbs and doing fall maintainance in the yard with no coats; last night a storm blew though our area destroying three homes and damaging many others (probably tornado); today snow blankets the ground with more coming our way. 20 miles to the north and south there is no snow. Wild and weird.

1. Windy here...
sunny, chilly, and beautiful. The wind is really whipping and the clouds look bizarre.

4. The "Pinapple Express" is making its way across
Northern New Mexico today with a nasty snow and ice storm, after having soaked southern CA. But when all is said and done, we sure can use the water from this storm.

the ice is so bad that the State Police have had to close La Bajada -- the famous hill between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Many cars have been unable to make it up the long, steep incline.

6. The Winds are Howling Here in Boston, but It's Sunny and Not Too Cold
My cats are enjoying watching all the flying leaves.

There are warnings about power outages and downed trees over the next few days.
