ROTFL! Saw "Wedding Crashers" tonight - fucking hilarious and brilliant!
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 09:22 PM by Rabrrrrrr
Excellent writing - the acting was above par most of the time, especially Christopher Walken and the two lead guys, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn - and some really clever and funny camera work and editing.

It's nice to see a comedy that is funny as hell, and also takes some creative camera shots.

Mostly, it was just funny as hell. I rolled through the whole thing!

1. That was one of the ONLY funny movies I've seen in a long time.
I usually don't care for most of the comedies that hit the screen.

2. "leard guys?"
Notwithstanding that, are your telling me that Christopher Walken is actually funny? That HAS to be a well-written movie if that's the case, and I'll have to see it.

Good review. You've made me put that movie on my must-see list.

3. Christopher Walken is funny!
It's just that he's so wierd-Aryan looking he winds up playing the heavy a lot. But he's definitely funny! :D

4. Whoops - lead guys, and I added their names in the edit
Christopher Walken was VERY funny, but in that Christopher Walken straightlaced way.

One scene in particular he was positively genius in, with his underacting which made it all the more hilarious. I won't tell you what the scene was, but it was a very unusual situation, one in which he should have been very distrubed to be in, but he played it totally non-chalant, like he had no idea what was really going on, and played it very straight.

6. I think you'll be surprised
Make a night of it - you can wash your chicken, catch a matinee, then go out for dinner!

8. Definitely a must-see, Redstone!
:hi:

I am very picky about my funny movies (I sometimes think "funny" movies are stupid) and I literally laughed the entire time through this movie. It was absolutely hilarious and I'd even buy the DVD when it comes out!

10. With a recommendation like that, and the other ones,
I may have to commit an unnatural act (for me) and actually go to a movie theater to see it. (Spending an hour and a half in a movie-theater seat is literally painful for me.)

How is your mother's situation working out for her? I remember your post about her troubles...

12. Thank you for asking :)
Everything is unfortunately still the same, but I've convinced her to go to a marriage counselor...hopefully it will help the situation.

I totally understand your avoidance of movie theaters. Especially now, it isn't just sitting an hour and a half in a theater, but paying the $9 friggin' bucks per ticket and $12 for a soda and a small baggie of popcorn!

But it is definitely a must-see - I thought it was absolutely hilarious and will definitely add it to my DVD collection when it comes out. If you do see it, let us know what you thought!
