7. One hovered above me on the Texas coast in the Spring of 1999.
There are sightings all the time. Maybe they just aren't being reported so much. I know I never bothered to report mine.

Aside from a couple really big, mass events, I don't think there's been a lot of attention to this kind of thing since it was popular in the 1950's.

More importantly, to paraphrase the Rev. O. Nenslo, why is it "okay to believe that little old granny ladies eat the actual flesh and blood of God every Sunday, but MILLIONS of people are MISTAKEN in thinking they saw something in the sky that looked just like a FLYING SAUCER??"
