6. They started off a bit slow, because they started w/ 5 new songs.
When they got into the old favorites, that's when the energy level picked up.

11. I am trying to find their Retrospective 1995-200?
I guess I just need to go to our local "Cheap Disks" and pick one up, they have all the "other kinds of music" in stock. I love these guys

12. That's really good. I recommend it.
It's got some good covers and demos on it. I keep it in my car for when I need a Son Volt fix.

5. Actually, they've been around a long time.
Edited on Sat Sep-17-05 09:27 AM by GOPisEvil
First there was Uncle Tupelo. They broke up and from that came forth two bands: Wilco and Son Volt. Son Volt put out 3 cds and then went into hibernation, then "reformed" last year. I say "reformed" because it's the lead guy, Jay Farrar, and all new band members.

The new cd is really good, and a little more overtly political. Here's their website: http://www.sonvolt.net/

Boston - 10/23 :D

22. The guitar on the new album is particularly good because it is played...
by the incomparable Brad Rice.
Check out his new solo album "Karma Bed"
