I noticed something was different but couldn't put my finger on it.
Tomorrow they show the first movie on TV (in Germany). I know what I will watch tomorrow evening.

excited to see the movie. I just finished the 6th book today. That is the second book in a row now that has had me in tears the last couple of chapters ;( . From what I have seen in the www.imdb.com that they are working on the 5th movie and are working on writing the screen play for the 6th. Now, if she can get that 7th book out in the next 2 years, I would be on cloud nine.

13. It looks like the best one yet. |

I wasn't a fan of the first two (not bad movies, but too young for me). The third was pretty good. However, the trailer for the fourth film is just amazing.

That looks so great! The colors are beautiful and this movie looks like it will capture so much of the "magic" that was missing in the last movie. This was my favorite book because of the excitement of the tri-wizard tournament and the story lines with the kids and the new people. I am counting the days!

18. Who directed this one? |
|
Looks like they got rid of the schmuck who directed the third one, and although it seems to have Chris Columbus' philosophy, it doesn't look like his work.

Edited on Sat Sep-17-05 11:19 PM by Hell Hath No Fury
Alfonso Cuaron elevated the series from kiddie films to serious filmmaking with "Prisoner". And Rowling seemed to agree -- "Prisoner" was her favorite of the trio.
Don't expect "Goblet" to look like Colombus' first two either. The new director (who also directed "Four Weddings and a Funeral") said in the press that he was hell bent on killing off any of the "cuteness" of the first two for good -- this was to be a dark film befitting the seriousness of the plot.
And I can't wait!!!!

21. I think kiddie cute for the first two was perfectly fine |
|
What I objected to in the third one was the (real physical) distance from the characters. The pretty Scotland scenery was nice, but that's not what the books are about. Looks like the new guy has returned the focus to the characters. I'm looking forward to this film.
