Why is *BEER* so popular?
"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to prosper."
-Benjamin Franklin

Girls in traditional Bavarian clothes toast with one-litre beer mugs during the opening day of the Oktoberfest in Munich September 17, 2005. Millions of beer drinkers from around the world will come to the Bavarian capital Munich for the world's biggest and most famous beer festival, the Oktoberfest. The 172st Oktoberfest lasts from September 17 until October 3. Some six million people are expected to visit 14 enormous tents, each capable of holding up to 10,000 people at a time, drinking some 5.5 million litres (1.453 million U.S. gallons) of beer in the process. 7. Those consumption stats are pathetic!
Over 6 million people should be able to drink more than 5.5 million liters. C'mon, that's 1 serving people! A healthy adult should be able to drink between 4 and 6 liters over the course of a visit to the different tents.

IIRC 2000 was the highest consuming Oktoberfest. It was also the one that I attended. Coincidence?

8. There Is No Coincidence That Profound
The correlation is abundantly clear. Good job! Record setting performance, that!

9. Maybe it has to do with the having to be seated thing
at least we had to be seated back in the early 90's in order to get a beer in one of the big tents. Maybe that is it. I agree it is a lackluster performance regardless of the reason.

Oh and I'll add Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
