If I left Oakhurst right now
do you think I could see the Dickcissel and Philidelphia Vireo in San Francisco and get up to Fort Bragg for the Yellow Wagtail today?

I've decided to go SF-Mendo-Redding-Sacto and blow off Mono for now.

5. Have a GREAT trip!
I hope you see plenty of birds at every stop. I'm only a half-hearted birder, mostly interesting in putting a name to those weird songs and funny looking plumage. Last week I was in Mendo area and further north. I saw many black turnstones in the area just north of Eureka but that was as exotic as it got.

Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 12:22 AM by XemaSab
showed up... it was where it was supposed to be, went back to the car to get the scope and when I got back it had flown and I didn't see it again.... tomorrow I will go for the wagtail!

(On edit: the banding code for dickcissel is DICK... I'll let y'all make the obvious jokes.)
