She's Come Undone...
So for the past two days I've been minding my own business, getting up in the morning, turning on the shower, stepping in, and then this song starts running through my head...What? How? I don't own this song, and never even particularly liked it...Haven't heard it for years...what is up with that? SHOULD I just embrace my inner earworm and start singing in the shower?

She's come undone
She didn't know what she was headed for
And when I found what she was headed for
It was too late

She's come undone
She found a mountain that was far too high
And when she found out she couldn't fly
It was too late

It's too late
She's gone too far
She's lost the sun
She's come undone
She wanted truth but all she got was lies
Came the time to realize
And it was too late

She's come undone
She didn't know what she was headed for
And when I found what she was headed for
Mama, it was too late

It's too late
She's gone too far
She's lost the sun
She's come undone

Too many mountains, and not enough stairs to climb
Too many churches and not enough truth
Too many people and not enough eyes to see
Too many lives to lead and not enough time....

I forgot that when I sing in the shower, I'm naked!

At least I don't pretend to be emperor! :+

16. I'm sorry!
I was joking... in reality I could be the nicest, most polite person you could meet...

My brain just goes blue sometimes! I think it's that pesky libidinal lobe! It just keeps interloping! Maybe I am in need of some shock treatment?

You can ride your trike, and I can drive my 1977 Toyota! I'd be willing to meet you halfway, but I'm sure I'd break down by Boise...

2. In the 60s they came "Undun." In the 80s, they "Lost Control".
She's Lost Control by Joy Division

Confusion in her eyes that says it all.
She's lost control.
And she's clinging to the nearest passer by,
She's lost control.
And she gave away the secrets of her past,
And said I've lost control again,
And of a voice that told her when and where to act,
She said I've lost control again.

And she turned around and took me by the hand
And said I've lost control again.
And how I'll never know just why or understand
She said I've lost control again.
And she screamed out kicking on her side
And said I've lost control again.
And seized up on the floor, I thought she'd die.
She said I've lost control.
She's lost control again.
She's lost control.
She's lost control again.
She's lost control.

Well I had to phone her friend to state my case,
And say she's lost control again.
And she showed up all the errors and mistakes,
And said I've lost control again.
But she expressed herself in many different ways,
Until she lost control again.
And walked upon the edge of no escape,
And laughed I've lost control.
She's lost control again.
She's lost control.
She's lost control again.
She's lost control.

I could live a little better with the myths and the lies,
When the darkness broke in, I just broke down and cried.
I could live a little in a wider line,
When the change is gone, when the urge is gone,
To lose control. When here we come.

Sorry. On a JD kick of late. :)

6. you're psychic
that's been my other earworm lately, but since I never knew the lyrics before now :D I've just been scatsinging the drums and bass part an adding "She's Lost Control" where I think it is appropiate!

My soon to be new roommate likes to karoake and keeps urging me to do it too, I think I'll these two songs for starters!

8. maybe this...
I saw a couple of herds of elk when I was on vacation...The bulls were obviously ready for some action but the cows were very coy, running away just far enough and then stopping...The alpha (biggest) bull tried to keep the younger bucks in line by chasing them off when they got too close to the cows, but for all his efforts he wasn't getting any action, either!

I wonder if they play mind games with each other too?

3. The Guess Who are amazing.
I saw them perform at Parliament Hill for Canada Day a few years back. They're all old and fat, but they can still dish it out.

7. I think so too
I remember them when they were top 40!

"Hand Me Down World" and "No Sugar Tonight" being my favorite songs...Plus I play a mean "American Woman" on kazoo! Especially the guitar solo!

Now that it is an earworm, I like "Undone" now too...

13. I love this song.
It's one of my favorite earworms. I hear it and I hum along for a few days at a time and I'm not even mad about it.

14. deep down inside I probably love it too...
Otherwise it would have not stuck in my subconscious for thirty plus years! I guess I'm going to have to go out and buy a Guess Who? cd soon. Preferably one with all their great songs on it!
