How gullible are you? Take the test and find out... |
|
http://www.newstarget.com/gullibility.htmlIt's fascinating to find out some of these things. My score was 97. :-) Also the website itself has some great information, too.

1. I'm a lot more gullible than you. My score was 64. However, I have |
|
to add that this web site is VERY opinionated and reactionary. Interesting, however.
I thought I was more of a free thinker, but I guess I'm just a little free and partially a mind slave, too. It's a good balance!
Thanks for the link.

12. Opinionated and reactionary.... |
|
How many sites aren't? Nearly all Democratic and Republican sites are the same way. They want you to see their point of view and only theirs. Same with drug companies. Same with anyone who has a point they want to make.
That's why we get 97%. We go into it with our eyes open. :-)

4. A Huge Portion of Siberia's Permafrost... |
|
...is now defrosting. In the permafrost lies vast quantities of methane hydrate (methane being a far more powerful greenhouse gas than CO2).
I'm too tired now to back this up with links; but they can be easily found.
I've seen video of pieces of intact Alaskan permafrost being ignited & burned in solid state.

This was the only question I got wrong. I thought I had ready that mega-doses of vitamin E weren't healthy.

9. Ah, we had this one a while ago, and quite a few of us |
|
commented on the obfuscating and dishonest way the questions are posed.
There are a lot of misguiding, wrongly worded, misleading, and downright deceptive questions.

I was able to get 97%. Thought the questions were rather straightforward if you took the time to read them. Could be wrong, though. Not like it would be the first time....

I don't know if a reactionary site would even give a mention to Howard Zinn. I thought the questions were enlightening.

15. Yeah, right, so I go to take this supposed "test"... |
|
and there's some sort of graphic waiting to pop out at me and scare me. You're not gonna get me again. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice...I...uh...we...uh...won't get fooled again...

17. That test is stupid. It's too obviously slanted, and presents opinions |
|
(in its wording and assumption of what is "true" or not) that are highly debatable in many of the cases.

21. Woo hoo! I am a Free Thinker! 85 |
|
Free Thinker
Welcome to the top 5%. You're a true free thinker and a person who is well informed about the reality in which you live. Although you may have been easily manipulated earlier in life, you eventually gained lucidity and developed a healthy sense of skepticism that you now automatically apply to your observations and experiences.

<Americans misinformed about actual events in Iraq. Solders wounded in Iraq who later die in European hospitals, for example, are never counted as Iraq war casualties.>
This is from the question about the MSM. Didn't we pretty much establish here on DU that this is false?
