John C. and the Limpet Mine.
John C. is an Italian shipmate of mine. His hands move in time to his mouth, so do his eyebrows which creep up to his receding hair line and then back down to shield his eyes.

We are studying limpet mines in the "Anti-Frogman" class at the U.S. Navy EOD School. The mine under discussion, once attached to the ship by the enemy frogman is nearly impossible to remove from the ship's keel without detonating it.

The instructor asks John C. "John, what steps would you take if you found this type of mine during your ship bottom search?"

John C. hands going, eyebrows creeping replies "I would put in a request for emergency leave."
