6. As a serious knife enthusiast, let me tell you about those Kinkade blades
They're pieces of shit. Steel that is little better than potmetal, they don't hold an edge beyond one use.

Now if you want a quality fishing or work knife, get an Opinel<http://www.premiumhg.com/PHG_Store/Opinel_Traditional_French_Knives.html> Yes, they're French knives, but they have withstood the tests of time. And they don't call them the fisherman's friend for nothing.

7. I bookmarked that page!
I want this!

Opinel OP10 Pruning Knife

Crafted without fancy materials high in the French Alps, this is a simple, beautiful, sharp, time tested knife design at incredible value. Originally created by Joseph Opinel in 1890, the modern knives' carbon steel blades are set in attractive beechwood handles. Features a strong stainless steel safety ring that keeps the knife blade locked while both open and closed. Measures 4 5/8 inch closed.

Suweet!

12. Oh it can get some shit done alright.
I carry an Opinel #8 around with me for a general purpose work knife, and have had the same one for ten years now. Long lasting, durable, well balanced, it is a great knife.

Of course it is French, so it some circles it is heresy to have one, but hey, I figure I'll let those fools buy a Kinkade or some other overpriced POS.

11. Nothing personal,
but I find it just a tiny bit disturbing that you know about these Kinkade blades.

Interesting, too.

13. Yeah, I get that kind of response a lot.
It gets even worse when I explain how you can blow up a car with mothballs and scotch tape, then people really freak out. But hey, I'm not a violent man, one just never knows when such esoteric knowledge will come in handy:evilgrin:

I'm pretty sure I just fell in love with you.
