Sometimes spelling errors make me wonder about people's voices. It's pronounced "Dorothy" as well, not "Dorthy!" I guess I'm thinking about this because of a thread in GD (I think) a day or so ago in which the original post was mis-corrected: the word "stalked" was mis-spelled as "stocked." What an accent! *shiver* I'd guess that anyone who pronounces "stalked" as "stocked" is (unfortunately) probably one of those many young women these days who have this grating, toneless voice that is reminiscent of the Penguin from the Batman movies, and everything comes out as a kind of quacking sound.

3. Dorothy

is kind of pronounced like "dorathy" Some people still pronounce it as "Dorthy" which is not correct. Sorry, :blush: I have two family members named that and one is my daughter.

I named her after my grandma. Oh, it fits her so well. Can not think of any other name for her. What is entirely awesome, is that she is the only "Dorothy" in her entire school!! :woohoo:
