I'm in a mood, so don't mess with me.
Mother Pink Floyd The Wall
Mother, do you think they'll drop the bomb? Mother, do you think they'll like this song? Mother, do you think they'll try to break my balls? Mother, should I build the wall? Mother, should I run for President? Mother, should I trust the government? Mother, will they put me in the firing line? Is it just a waste of time?
Hush now baby, baby, don't you cry Momma's gonna make all of your nightmares come true Momma's gonna put all of her fears into you Momma's gonna keep you right here under her wing She won't let you fly, but she might let you sing Momma's will keep Baby cozy and warm Oooo Babe Oooo Babe Ooo Babe, of course Momma's gonna help build the wall
Mother, do you think she's good enough For me? Mother, do you think she's dangerous To me? Mother will she tear your little boy apart? Mother, will she break my heart?
Hush now baby, baby, don't you cry Momma's gonna check out all your girlfriends for you Momma won't let anyone dirty get through Momma's gonna wait up until you get in Momma will always find out where you've been Momma's gonna keep Baby healthy and clean Oooo Babe Oooo Babe Ooo Babe, you'll always be Baby to me
Mother, did it need to be so high?

1. I've been listening to The Wall a whole lot lately. |

3. It says a few things very well. |

I think it's time for a Wall Revival.
But then again, I also think it's a good time for a Hair Revival, and and Alice's Restaurant Revival. :7

5. Ok, how fucking creepy is this - |
|
My brother in law had this as his "dance with his mother" song at his wedding.
There were very many WTF faces at the reception, me being one of them.

I think that can be filed in the Are-You-Fucking-Kidding-Me? category. For real. Time and place...time and place.

9. I admit to being witty... |
|
but this time I wasn't. That is the real time and place. I asked my brother in law later if he ever listened to the whole Wall album, or watched the movie... he answered "there's an album/movie?"
Classic rock radio listeners, sheesh.

...I knew you were being for real about the time and place.
However, in my first post, I used time and place as the expression, as in "there's a time and place for _"
Replying with the literal was, to me, witty. And hilarious. Unless of course you thought I was asking for the literal time and place, which I wasn't. But I assumed you knew that.

They so "get it".
There are so many different ways in which your childhood can fuck you up and it's not always just physical.

I thought of that song before I even clicked on your thread.
I wonder what that says about me as a mother :scared:

14. Well, the telephone is ringing, |
|
Is that my mother on the phone? Telephone is ringing Is that my mother on the phone? The telephone is screaming Won't she leave me alone? The telephone is ringing Is that my mother on the phone?
Well every girl that I go out with Becomes my mother in the end Every girl I go out with Becomes my mother in the end Well, I hear my mother calling But I don't need her as a friend
Oh, Oh mother Oh mother dear please listen And don't devour me Oh mother dear please listen Don't devour me Oh women please have mercy Let this poor boy be Oh mother dear please listen And don't devour me
