Who else remembers the CIA Afghani Freedom Hashish from the Reagan years?

It was in bricks embossed with the phrase "Support Afghani Freedom", and the CIA helped Bin Laden and the Taliban sell it in the USA to get the money to fight the Russians.

My parents smoked dope, and I seem to remember my uncle (their dealer) coming over to the house around 1982 with a huge brick of hash that he claimed was the best thing he'd ever smoked....he also said that hash was now all over the place in Connecticut for some reason. I was eight years old and this stuff smelled NASTY.

Now that I know the backstory, I think it may have been the same stuff. :evilgrin:

We were going through a lot of hash in those days. Yellow, orange, brown. Mmmmmmmmmmm. I can still taste it. Made those morning commutes a lot more fun. But never saw any printing on it.

What's with all the cannibis posts tonight. I'm getting all nostalgic.
