The spiritual nature of humans, regarded as immortal, separable from the body at death, and susceptible to happiness or misery in a future state

I think it goes to live with either Santa Claus and toil for eternity on the toy line (if you've been good) or to clean up Easter Bunny shit (if you haven't).

4. Flawed poll. I needed two choices |
|
I want to say: be reincarnated as another human being or be reincarnated as another animal species. The two are not mutually exclusive you know!

10. I want my soul to return for another crack at this life....... |
|
I believe I've been here before, and there are things that I need to do before I'm ready to be one with God or whatever you call it......
I still have things to learn on this earth, and pleasures to experience, and things to teach as well.....
I want to remember where I've been as well..and who I knew, and why I knew them...so I can work out my difficulties.....

Bleeding walls and psychoknesis are going to be child's play to the hell I unleash on the world in my post mortem state.

13. Reminds me of an episode of "Frasier" |
|
Niles and Frasier are talking about the afterlife and Niles says, "I've always liked the thought of meeting the great people of history. But then I think, what if it's like high school and none of the really cool dead people want to talk to me?"

19. What I would like and what I believe are two different things |
|
I would very much like it if I could go wherever my beloved dog Dixie is. I have so many dead friends and relatives but more than any of them, I'd like to see Dixie again.
However, what I believe is that I will go into oblivion, and that I will no more be conscious of what and where I am than I was before I was born. I don't really believe in a soul or spirit that lives on - I think we just die.
I sure would love to see Dix again, though. ~sigh~

21. Hmmm.. I think there's an afterlife, but it's hard to tell |
|
My Christian faith says there's a heaven and hell, but I think hell might actually be a distance from God for eternity. I believe that we are reunited with family and friends and spend a peaceful spiritual existence in the afterlife, but sometimes reincarnation makes sense, too. It's really the great mystery. :-)

22. Oblivion or a personal heaven would both be dandy, if possible |
|
However, I'm pretty sure those are not possibilities; I think I will no doubt reincarnate again. If I really luck out I'll be born rich and beautiful and able to sing, but it is far more likely I'll be born into poverty (most people are, after all).
I don't think any law of karma will determine the starting conditions of my life, but I do think strong emotional ties will lead me to find my friends again (for a new round of practical jokes).

25. To rejoin the divine/be reabsorbed into the elements |
|
I think of them as the same thing...that all life, all elements, are interconnected and divine, so the simple biological process of decay equates to transmogrification into the divine.
Although I wouldn't mind being some kind of spirit guide, if that turns out to be an option.
