That is one DAMN GOOD PILOT
Talk about a perfect job of keeping the nose up through an emergency landing.

:applause:

3. Not to take away anything from the pilot,
but any airline pilot for any airline should be able to do that. I, as a private pilot, have practiced those landings about a billion times. I wouldn't base my airline choice on that landing. Let me make it clear though....That was a great job.

6. A private pilot? So . . . I'm guessing you've flown small airplanes
Never a jet carrying 140 passengers and weighing as much as a small building.

Have you ever flown a jetliner? Ever dealt with the vast differences between said jetliner and a small prop-plane?

10. Whoa now...
I made no claim of flying A320's. However, the principles of flight don't change. Bigger Airplanes, Bigger runways, same landing techniques. If you'd like to appeal to a higher authority, please be my guest. I simply wanted to let everyone know that this is not a rare situation as much as everyone thinks, also that it would most likely be ok, as much as the media loves to sensationalize things. My point was, airline pilots are well trained. All of them.

14. Emergency landing at LAX
the front landing gear was stuck sideways. No injuries, just a little bit of flames when the rubber tore away from the wheels.

After circling for almost 3 hours, the pilots placed it dead center in the middle of the runway, flawlessly.
