"Lost" Kind of Sucked Tonight
Big disappointment with the opening show, but I'll give them some time to rebound.

3. whaaaa? sucked???
:spank:  :grr:

bite your tongue, man!!

no, seriously, I can see where some folks would be disappointed. The "hatch mystery" has been so built up that nothing short of the giant glowing hand of God Himself would have lived up to it. Or, maybe, in a bit of irony, the hatch being some sort of metaphysical tunnel back to Los Angeles.

But I like this development; it's starting to get the characters (Jack this time, who knows who else next time) personally invested in the mystery of the island.

5. True but

how did Desmond "happen" to get to the same island that Jack is stuck on?

How did he know that Sara would recover when Jack thought the surgery was unsuccessful?

Old Des seemed friendly when Jack met him in the stadium. Why is he now seemingly violent?

How come he's living in a time warp? Did you see how old the computer equipment was relatively speaking of course and what's it all doing in the middle of this weird island?

And why did the hatch say Quarentine and how did the numbers from Hurley's mental instution "friend" get on the Hatch?

I can see your point, but I kind of enjoyed tonight's show and have a lot more questions that this raises. The only thing I was disappointed about is that we have to wait until next week to see what happened to the raft people.

And what's up with Shannon seing Walt when no one else could? Did the "other's" drown him. He was sopping wet! Is he a ghost? Is she hallucinating? having a premonition?, is he using astral projecting to try and communicate with her?

Weird but I am going to stick with it that's for sure.
