10. Gross.
That type of "runnaway selection" always amazes me. They are one of THE most prime examples of why evolution is at work.

Take this bug for example. The bigger the jaws, the more likely he is able to impress and secure a mate. Therefore, the species has evolved to have the biggest mandibles possible, at the expense of mobility and lifespan. In fact, this beetle spends most of its nutirition growing these huge things. Like a turkey's or peacocks' tailfeathers, these types of extreme evolution are curious.
