Simbusie update
The vet just called with Simba's lab results. He has elevated neutrophils, which probably signify inflammatory activity, and an elevated CPK, which could be because he's lost a few lbs. over the last few months. Thyroid function is normal, as are liver enzymes and glucose. Vet recommended starting him on Reglan to increase his bowel motility and reduce bile buildup and keeping him on his regular diet for now.

Simba seems to have perked up a bit. He's eating a little, drinking water and wanting to sit on my lap, none of which he was doing yesterday.

Thanks to all who expressed interest in our little kitty's condition! Maybe I worry too much about him, but we definitely regard our cats as our children!

I would have weighed in earlier, but I've been off line most of the day. I'm just going through the threads that look interesting right now.

I hope he's in tiptop shape quickly!
