1. All aboard my friend!
I don't think there are too many of us around DU. This should be a fun year regardless.

3. Yay!
I gave up on Cleveland to ever be good again and though M. Jones is from my homestate and alma mater I can't bring myself to like the Jags. Though, I am a Cardinals (baseball) fan, hope that doesn't accrue any hard feelings, but I've noticed that unlike the BoSox and Yanks, our rivalry is actually constructive and fun.

12. Nice!
I figured, out of over 77,000 people on this board, there's bound to be a few Bengals fans. Actually, I did see a Bengals avatar on someone - maybe jade fox??? Anyway...

Going to any games this year?

I happened to be in Cincinnati the day the ticket packs went on sale, and I was SECOND(!) in line, and got no tickets. It was at a Kroger, and their computer was fucked up or something. I was so pissed.

16. "Here that Bengal growlin' mean and angry!"
Hear that Bengal growlin' mean and angry
Here he comes a prowlin' lean and hungry
An offensive brute
Run, pass or boot
And defensively he's rough, tough
Cincinnati Bengals
That's the team we're going to cheer to victory
Touchdown Bengals get some points upon that board
And win a game for Cincinnati

5. Yeah. . . but though it may happen, I have this to say:
Have you seen the NFC North? Those guys can't play defense, can't play offense. In fact, I think one of the guys got a ball bounced off his head during a pass route.

9. Hey, it could happen!
After all, it IS the NFL. Can be unpredictable as hell, and defense goes a long way.

8. No doubt.
I was thinking, given the makeup of the NFC North, the Bears could win the division and go to the playoffs.......and be 7-9.

They do have a great D, and their offense will improve steadily I'm sure. Should be a good game - a nice test for the Bengals O.

10. I think most people have underestimated the Bears this year.
They remind me of the '84 Bears; Great D, Good running game, and an adequate NFL QB. I won't guess who will win Sunday, but the Bears will make the playoffs between 8-8 and 10-6.

Between the weakness of our division, and a fairly easy schedule, the playoffs are a virtual guarantee.

I have Carson Palmer and Ben Roethlisburger as QBs for my FF league...I am leaning toward starting Palmer, What do you think?

20. NFW, you're into fantasy football?
Girl, you rock!!!

Start Palmer. He's en fuego and has a multitude of offensive options compared to the Bears.

24. That is a tough call, KitchenWitch...
...I'm in fantasy football too. Palmer has been good - though you can't judge it by his play on the Vikings: we've made 3rd string QB's look like the second coming of Dan Marino. But, and I bite my tongue to say it, the Bears defense has also been very good. As for Big Ben, thats a tough one too. Its hard to imagine that the defending Super Bowl champs are going to lay an egg two weeks in a row. You've got a hard one to figure out there. I'm not sure which way I'd go.
