I had to leave my cat behind |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-22-05 07:50 PM by alarimer
In Corpus this morning. I could not get him in the carrier; he got away and hid up in the box spring. I could not get him out. So I decided that he would be okay with food and water. I left enough for a week but I am hoping we can be back before then. I feel terrible. I am at my cousins in Austin. They have three cats which would have freaked my cat out.

He'll find a way out of any trouble and be waiting for you!! He probably thinks someone needs to watch the house.

4. you did the right thing |
|
don't you dare let anyone judge you & don't you dare second-guess yrself
you have a duty to yr family & yrself to save yrself, you would be irresponsible to stay behind in corpus christi for a cat
i hope you will soon be safely reunited
i've had to make such a choice, my pets were fine when i returned, but i understand that sick feeling of fear, we do the best we can but sometimes pets have a mind of their own

He hates the carrier, not that I blame him but he knew something weird was going on.

It has been a crazy day. NOw I am just watching and waiting. People in Austin are freaking out a little. Now I have nothing more to do but figure out how to get through the next few days, mostly because I think I'll be bored.
I am sure Buddy will be fine, especially since it looks like Corpus will be spared although who knows?

12. Well, the good news is that Rita is moving away from Corpus. |
|
I think your cat will be ok, and you should be able to return home Saturday night or Sunday.
